Croatian PM, Finnish president hold talks

ZAGREB, Sept 2 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met Finnish President Tarja Halonen and her delegation on Wednesday to discuss the state of Croatia's accession negotiations with the European Union and attempts to lift Slovenia's blockade of the talks.

The two officials said Croatian-Finnish relations were excellent.Halonen commended Croatia for its reforms, progress, and role in Southeast Europe. Kosor and Halonen agreed that Croatian-Finnish trade should be boosted, with Kosor pledging that the Croatian government would try to attract Finnish tourists to Croatia.
