Croatian PM's wife attends New York conference on promotion of literacy

ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's wife Mirjana took part in a conference on the promotion of literacy in the world in New York on Monday, at the invitation of US First Lady Laura Bush, an official statement said on Tuesday.

The conference was organised by Bush for the wives of the presidents and prime ministers attending the current session of the UN General Assembly.

At the end of the conference, Bush organised a lunch for the 62 ladies, and thanked Mirjana Sanader for the welcome and hospitality during her visit to Zagreb in April with President George W. Bush.
