Croatian PM to pay working visit to France on Oct 15-16
Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic will be in Paris on October 15 and 16 for a working visit during which he will meet with President Emmanuel Macron, a government press release said on Sunday.
The prime minister is also scheduled to meet with members of the Croatian community, attend a meeting of the France-Croatia Business Council at the MEDEF employer federation, and give a lecture, entitled "Croatia and the Future of the European Union", at Sorbonne University.
At the end of his visit, the prime minister will open an exhibition called "Croatia Full of Colours".
The prime minister will be accompanied by Culture Minister Nina Obuljen Korzinek, Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli and a business delegation headed by Chairman of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) Luka Burilovic.
MEDEF is the largest French employer federation with over 750,000 members, of which more than 90 percent are small and medium businesses. A MEDEF delegation visited Croatia earlier this year and attended a Croatian-French business forum which attracted Croatian companies interested in doing business in France.
Croatia is an attractive and dynamic market for French investors because of its geographic position in the region and skilled labour. Cooperation possibilities lie in all sectors, notably in the food, IT and defence industries, new technologies, and research and development, the HGK said.
