Croatian Prime Minister meets Czech President

Croatian PM met with Czech President Vaclav Klaus on the margins of the congress.

Speaking to reporters, Sanader said that he expected Croatia to make major progress in its EU accession talks during the Czech EU Presidency.

"I am encouraged that the Czech Republic is very determined in its message that Croatia must become the 28th member of the EU," Sanader said.

He added that Klaus and Topolanek promised that the Czech parliament would ratify the protocol on Croatia's admission to NATO very soon.

Sanader added that the Czech president expressed a wish to visit Croatia during the Czech EU Presidency as a sign of friendship.
