Croatian Prime Minister receives Russian Deputy PM Dvorkovich

Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and Deputy PM Neven Mimica held separate meetings in Zagreb on Friday with Russian Deputy PM Arkady Dvorkovich, the government said in a press release.

Dvorkovich conveyed congratulations from President Vladimir Putin and PM Dmitry Medvedev on Croatia's Statehood Day, which is observed on June 25, and on Croatia's European Union accession on July 1.

The officials voiced confidence that the accession would contribute to Croatian-Russian cooperation, given the many issues of common interest.

They said economic relations could be developed further and exchanged opinions on the possibility of intensifying cooperation in energy, trade and investments.
