Croatian Prime Minister,Turkmen President hold talks

ZAGREB, June 26 (Hina) - Croatia's Prime Minister Ivo Sanader and Turkmenistan's President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow on Friday held talks on possibilities for Croatian companies to be engaged in the construction of a gas pipeline from Turkmenistan to China and on cooperation with Croatian shipyards.

The two officials agreed that it was necessary to enhance bilateral relations, notably in the economic and cultural sectors.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow informed PM Sanader about new gas reserves in his country and about a gas pipeline which Turkmenistan is building towards China.

The two officials also agreed that the two countries would set up a commission for cooperation in the sectors of shipbuilding, energy, tourism, culture and science.

According to the press release, Sanader said that Croatia would appoint its representatives to the inter-state commission in the coming days.
