The Czech Foreign Ministry and the Alliance of Czechs in Croatia on Tuesday signed a deed of donation worth EUR 300,000 for the renovation and upgrade of the Czech Elementary School in the eastern Croatian town of Daruvar.

Croatian Foreign and European Affairs Minister Marija Pejcinovic Buric, who attended the signing of the deed, welcomed this gesture by which the Czech government had joined the Croatian government in the realisation of the project for which Zagreb has already allocated EUR 1.2 million.

Underscoring that Czechs in Croatia are the strongest bridge of long-term cooperation between two friendly and partner countries, the minister supported the possibility of signing bilateral agreements between the two governments aimed at supporting minority projects.
