Deputy Prime Minister Karamarko, Orban talk Croatia-Hungary relations, refugee crisis

 

Speaking to reporters afterwards, Karamarko said Croatia-Hungary relations "were traditionally good but stagnated a little, to put it mildly, over the past four years, which isn't good... We raised the issue of possible joint projects, applying for EU funds for those projects, the issue of the Budapest-Zagreb-Rijeka railway etc."

 

He said there was no talk of the INA-MOL dispute nor energy security.

 

As for the refugee crisis, Karamarko said this "grave humanitarian problem" should be overcome together. "That's possible only if you have good relations with the neighbours and if there is a common plan at the EU level," he said, adding that talks with Hungary would continue in the weeks ahead.
