Gov't adopts plan to reduce trade administrative costs by 20 pct
The government on Wednesday adopted an action plan to reduce the administrative burden on the economy, including a 20 percent cut in trade and the real estate business by year's end, with Deputy Prime Minister Branko Grcic saying it was necessary to come up with a HRK 300 million cut in para-fiscal levies for 2016.
He said the action plan was part of the national reform programme aimed at shortening procedures and cutting costs. He said a register of para-fiscal levies was completed and that now it was necessary to cut them by HRK 300 million this year and another HRK 300 million in 2016.
Responding to questions from the press, Grcic said the register would be made public one it was decided what else could be included in it.
With this action plan, the Economy Ministry is continuing to improve regulations and simplify administration in lice with the European Services Directive.
The government plans to gauge the administrative burden in six other areas - starting a business, construction, protection at work, renewables, and sanitary and health conditions. "The action plan specifies to which laws the model will apply, how we will gauge and which measures we will use to reduce the burden on the economy in 2015 and 2016," Economy Minister Ivan Vrdoljak said at the government session.
