Government endorses report on integrated border management

ZAGREB, May 21 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday adopted a report on the implementation of the integrated border management strategy, read a press release issued by the government's public relations office after the Ivo Sanader cabinet held a session behind closed doors.

The government initiated a procedure for enabling easier regime of transport and travel via the old Gorican-Letenye border crossing between Croatia and Hungary. The changes will enable locals living near the border to travel via the border crossing throughout the year. During the tourist season, that is from 1 June to 31 August, the border crossing will be opened for international passenger transport. Buses will not allowed to use this route.

Procedure was launched for concluding a protocol between Croatia and the Czech Republic in relation to the bilateral double tax avoidance agreement.
