Government provides HRK 85 million to co-finance purchase of milk from dairy farmers
ZAGREB, Feb 11 (Hina) - The Croatian government adopted behind closed doors on Thursday a decision on special intervention measures in the dairy sector, and funds needed to co-finance the purchase of raw milk from dairy farmers, amounting to HRK 85 million, have been secured in the 2010 budget within the budgetary allocation for the Agriculture Ministry.
The government also gave its approval for HT - Hrvatske Telekomunikacije d.d. company to change its name to Hrvatski Telekom d.d.
The new name reflects the company's corporate identity and ensures that it is easily recognisable, while retaining the mark of national identity, the government said in a statement.
The government also changed the Decision to appoint the president and members of the National Committee and the National Commissioner for the World Exhibition EXPO 2010 in Shanghai, the People's Republic of China, appointing Petar Uzorinac of the Foreign Ministry new president of the National Committee for the World Exhibition EXPO 2010.
The government adopted a decision on the rotation, number and structure of members of the Armed Forces serving in UN peace missions.
A regular troop rotation in the UN peace mission in India and Pakistan will be carried out by sending one serviceman to join the mission for a period of one year as an observer.
A similar decision was made for army personnel serving in the peace mission in Afghanistan. Regular rotations for that mission will be carried out in February and March, covering 254 servicemen who are to be sent to Afghanistan for a period of up to seven months.
The government also launched the procedure for signing an additional protocol with the Omani government relating to amendments to an agreement between the two countries on the promotion and mutual protection of investments. The amendments are expected to improve and advance the overall economic relations between the two countries.
