Government transferring its HT shares to Pensioners' Fund

ZAGREB, Nov 19 (Hina) - The Croatian government has decided to transfer its shares in the HT-Hrvatske Telekomunikacije company to the Pensioners' Fund.

According to a press release issued after the government's closed-door session on Friday, the cabinet of Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor decided to transfer its stock to the said fund free of charge.

The government holds 2,859,148 shares in the telecommunications company, with the nominal value of HRK 100 per share. The market value is determined on the basis of the last trading price on the day when the decision on the transfer was made.

In line with the prior consent from the Croatian president, who is the army's supreme commander, the government today sent to parliament a motion to increase Croatia's contingent in the NATO-led mission in Afghanistan by 30 troops whose task is to train the Afghan forces. Croatia is thus contributing to NATO's exit strategy in that Asian country.

The government launched a procedure for concluding an agreement with Albania on mutual assistance in natural and industrial disasters.
