The Croatian government on Thursday decided to co-finance 50% of the cost of the purchase of textbooks and supplementary material for the 2015/2016 school year for primary and secondary school students from needy families eligible for social welfare

Thus, HRK 18.5 million should be allotted among 26,000 beneficiaries, Education and Science Minister Vedran Mornar said at the government's meeting on Thursday.

This amount of at least 18.5 million kuna also includes allocations for full funding of the purchase of school-books for children of war veterans.
