Horvat: HRK 3bn investment cycle being launched in Medjimurje County

Economy Minister Darko Horvat said on Thursday that the government was launching a HRK 3 billion (€405 million) investment cycle in the northwestern Medjimurje County.

"An investment cycle of HRK 3 billion is being launched in Medjimurje County today based on agreements and conclusions made," Horvat told reporters ahead of a cabinet meeting in Cakovec.

He said that Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic had ensured the launch of 25 projects in the county. He thanked local businesses and the private sector, saying that they had not asked for any financial support from local or regional government.

Horvat said that during his term in office he had always insisted on investment, industry, exports and innovation.
