Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic said on Friday evening that Croatia was moving on to Plan C considering the fact that Hungary was going to seal its border with Croatia and that the "corridor is turning toward Slovenia."

"In light of the information that Hungary is closing its border, that is, that it will not accept people who were transiting through Hungary, the corridor is turning toward Slovenia," Ostojic said and added that that meant Croatia was moving on to Plan C.

As he said, Plan C had  not been agreed with the Slovenian side, but added that "as long as Germany and Austria continue to accept migrants, Slovenia will receive people who are in Croatia and are travelling toward the Schengen area."

Ostojic added  that according to an agreement between Croatian and Slovenian police the point of disembarkation for migrants will be the border crossing at Macelj and Mursko Sredisce, namely 300 people at Macelj, 300 people on the road border crossing in Mursko Sredisce and 1200 people at the railway border crossing in that town.

Refugees would be transported by train from the border with Serbia to Cakovec in the northwest of Croatia and from there by bus to these two border crossings.

By Friday night around 186,000 people had passed through Croatia since mid-September and currently there are 700 migrants stationed at the Opatovac reception centre near the border with Serbia, Ostojic said.

Around 6.30 pm, 11 buses full of refugees left Opatovac for the Hungarian border.
