With the leadership of President Zelensky and the Ukrainian government, the heroic struggle of the Ukrainian army and the people, Prime Minister Plenković said, it is crucial to maintain the political unity of the West in terms of political support, but also financial, economic and military support so that the Ukrainians can ultimately win the war.

At the same time, it is necessary to prevent the spillover effect of the negative consequences of Russian aggression against Ukraine on the way of life and the social and economic standard of European citizens.

When you look at the bigger picture, regardless of the challenges and the work that still needs to be done, Prime Minister Plenković pointed out that so far Croatia has managed well in times of unprecedented crisis.

The LNG terminal on Krk provides an opportunity to diversify gas supply to numerous countries in Central and Eastern Europe

He added that it is important to achieve a common European response to all these challenges, pointing out the agreement on gas prices as an example.

The Croatian government, he reminded, has limited the prices of gas and electricity, regulates the prices of oil derivatives, so the majority of citizens have not felt the global tectonic disturbances in the energy market on their bills.

At the same time, he emphasized, the Government is investing enormous effort in diversifying the supply of energy, especially through the LNG terminal on Krk, whose capacity is increasing from the initial 2.9 billion cubic meters to 6.1 billion.
