Kuscevic: Equal regional development basis of government's policy

Administration Minister Lovro Kuscevic on Tuesday said that the basis of the government's policy was a balanced regional development in Croatia and that last year HRK 2.1 billion was invested in this regard.

He expressed confidence that municipalities would be merged or that certain municipalities would be enlarged and that in about 18 months an expert solution would be presented and concrete solutions in the next term in government.

Asked to comment the burning of an effigy of MP Milorad Pupovac, Kuscevic said that the state's leadership had zero tolerance to any hate speech.

"This however, is a Mardi Gras carnival, let's leave the masks to masqueraders," he told reporters when asked whether state official were tolerating an atmosphere of hate as Pupovac claimed.
