The RALU Logistika company marked the 25th anniversary of its establishment on Tuesday by opening a new logistics and distribution centre, worth more than 150 million kuna (20 million euros), in Rugvica near Dugo Selo, about 20 kilometres east of Zagreb.

The new logistics and distribution centre is fully financed with private capital and provides state-of-the-art infrastructure for the provision of top-quality logistics services in the cold chain in Croatia and abroad.

The centre has a warehouse covering 11,500 square metres in area and its storage capacity exceeds 10,000 pallets. It employs 200 new workers, which brings the total number of employees in RALU Logistika to 550.

Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said he was glad to be attending the launch of such an investment project, noting that logistics was a very competitive activity. "Investments and activities of this kind are a bridge that connect Croatia with Europe and the world," he said.

Also attending the ceremony was the Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Sinisa Hajdas Doncic.
