Plenkovic receives Spanish FM Borrell

Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic on Wednesday received Spain's Foreign Minister Josep Borrell for the talks on strengthening cooperation between the two countries, the government said in a press release.

Plenkovic and Borrell expressed their satisfaction with the high quality of bilateral political relations as well as cooperation within the framework of the EU and NATO.

They discussed further strengthening of the trade which currently stands at 800 million euro as well as developing economic cooperation, particularly in regard to investments in infrastructure projects and the tourism sector.

The two officials also discussed priorities during Croatia's chairmanship of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2020 as well as negotiations over the EU multi-annual financial framework (2021-2027).
