PM Kosor dissatisfied with latest increase in petrol prices
ZAGREB, Aug 18 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met at the government headquarters on Tuesday with representatives of the oil company INA, expressing dissatisfaction with the latest rise in petrol prices.
Prime Minister Kosor requested INA officials to inform the government when changing petrol prices and to demonstrate more social sensitivity, while taking into account market conditions.
"At the meeting with INA officials, it was agreed that INA should define, by the end of the week, a model on the basis of which PM Kosor's request would be met,".
On the night between Monday and Tuesday, prices of petrol and diesel fuels at INA's petrol stations went up by more than 0.50 kuna per litre, or between 7.3 percent and 13.5 percent.
Compared with previous changes in petrol prices, this is the biggest increase in petrol prices this year. The previous two weeks saw the lowest petrol prices this year.
