PM Milanovic congratulates Tsipras on his election

Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic personally and on behalf of his government on Tuesday congratulated Alexis Tsipras on his election as Greek prime minister and expressed his confidence in the development of even better relations between Croatia and Greece.

Milanovic is convinced that the friendly relations and good cooperation between Croatia and Greece, partners in the European Union and NATO, will continue and deepen during the term of Prime Minister Tsipras.

"I am looking forward to the strengthening of the relations between our two countries in all fields of common interest," the PM says in his letter of congratulations.

The Greek Syriza party on Sunday won 149 of 300 seats in parliament and with the support of 13 MPs of the right Independent Greeks formed the new government headed by Tsipras.
