PM Plenkovic meets with Vatican secretary of state Parolin

Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic met with the Holy See's Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, in Zagreb on Tuesday.

They discussed bilateral ties and cooperation, reaffirming the traditionally close relations between Croatia and the Holy See, and noted a good relationship and continued dialogue with the Catholic Church in Croatia.

The meeting also focused on the situation in Southeast Europe, notably on the status of the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the necessity for the equality of all three constituent peoples in that country.

Among the topics discussed was also the completion of the process of canonisation of the Blessed Cardinal Alojzije Stepinac.
