The Croatian Prime Minister and leader of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party, Ivo Sanader, met in Zagreb on Friday with the leader of the HDZ of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dragan Covic, to discuss the current situation in the region and the position of the Croatian people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Croatia wants the Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina to keep their status as a constituent, sovereign and equal nation, and Croatia will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in Euro-Atlantic integration processes," Sanader said, according to a statement issued by the Croatian government's public relations office.
