Prime Minister invited to become member of Council of Women World Leaders

ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) - The Finnish President and chairwoman of the Council of Women World Leaders, Tarja Halonen, has invited Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor to join the council.

Halonen has sent a letter to Kosor congratulating her on her work and leadership and describing Kosor's career and service as inspiration to women in a bid to take over their deserved place with men in top offices.

The Council of Women World Leaders was founded in 1996 by the then Icelandic President Vigdis Finnbogadottir and Laura Liswood who serves as the Council's Secretary-General.

This body includes the current and former female heads of state and government.
