Prime Minister Kosor meets incoming Chinese ambassador
ZAGREB, Nov 19 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Friday met the incoming Chinese Ambassador to Croatia, Shen Zhifei. She welcomed the ambassador and wished him a successful term in office, saying that Croatia would continue supporting the One-China principle.
Kosor expressed confidence that the new Chinese ambassador would continue positive trends in the development of good and friendly relations between the two countries.
Ambassador Shen supported the Croatian government's efforts to revive the economy and overcome the crisis, underlining PM Kosor's role in the country's progress on the road to EU membership.
The two officials were agreed that economic relations would continue to have priority in relations between the two countries. Economic cooperation was the reason why the Croatian government decided to provisionally lift visa requirements for some Chinese citizens, with Kosor saying that Croatia's participation in the EXPO exhibition in Shanghai had encouraged many Chinese people to visit Croatia.
