Prime Minister Kosor meets Macedonian foreign minister

ZAGREB, March 9 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor and Macedonian Foreign Minister Antonio Milososki held talks in Zagreb on Tuesday, expressing satisfaction with the two countries' friendly relations and intensive political dialogue.

The two officials also called for strengthening economic cooperation and trade. PM Kosor said she was confident that Croatia's EU membership talks have strategic importance for all neighbouring countries and for the European project as a whole.

She said that Croatia would support the European and Euro-Atlantic path of all Southeast European countries, and that it was willing to share its experience in the process of European integration.

Croatia has offered its translations of the EU acquis communautaire to all countries in the region as a sign of sincere and concrete support, Kosor said.

Milososki said that the border arbitration agreement between Croatia and Slovenia had created a more clear prospect of EU membership also for all Southeast European countries. He congratulated Kosor on her leadership, adding that it was of great importance for the entire Southeast Europe.

Kosor and Milososki also discussed a regional conference which is expected to be held at Brdo Pri Kranju, Slovenia, on March 20, efforts to improve cooperation in tourism, and the position of the Macedonian minority in Croatia and of the Croat minority in Macedonia.
