Prime Minister Kosor meets US ambassador
ZAGREB, Jan 11 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Monday met US Ambassador James Foley, saying Croatia appreciated the United States' partnership, friendship and support, and voicing confidence that the relations as partners and friends would continue to develop this year.
"The friendship and support of the United States are invaluable to Croatia," Kosor said.
Discussing the current political situation in Croatia, she said the three pillars of the government's work this year would be strengthening the economy, completing accession negotiations with the European Union, and tackling corruption even more resolutely.
Foley supported Kosor and her cabinet, adding the United States firmly supported the government's work. He also extended support for Croatia's EU accession.
Kosor thanked US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for her public support to her and to Croatia's bid to fight corruption and pursue reforms.
