She also sent her best wishes to as Metropolitan Jovan of Zagreb-Ljubljana, who is the head of the Serb Orthodox Church in Croatia.

Most years, Western Christian churches and Eastern Orthodox churches celebrate Easter on different dates, however, this year Orthodox Christians will celebrate Easter on April 24, the same day as the rest of Christendom.

Earlier this morning, Kosor and a delegation of the government and war veterans associations laid wreaths and lit candles at Zagreb's central Mirogoj cemetery on the occasion of Easter Holiday. Wreaths were also laid at the grave of the first Croatian President Franjo Tudjman.

Kosor said Croatia was at the end of its negotiating process with the European Union stressing that if it had not been for Croatian Homeland War soldiers and their bravery, this would not have been possible.
