Prime Minister Milanovic, Azerbaijani president confirm interest in business projects

Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and the visiting Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on Monday confirmed their interest in concrete projects to be undertaken by companies from both countries in shipbuilding, tourism, ICT technology, energy and infrastructure, the Croatian government's public relations office reported.

The two officials assessed bilateral relations as friendly without any outstanding issues with the prospect of strengthening mutual economic cooperation which was confirmed with the signing of several agreements between both governments.
The press release notes that PM Milanovic praised the progress achieved in Azerbaijan over the past decade and confirmed Croatia's interest in gas supplies from the Caspian Sea.
President Aliyev informed Milanovic of the current security and political situation in the Caucasus and of Azerbaijan's relations with neighbouring countries. PM Milanovic stressed that Croatia advocated peaceful solutions to contentious issues that will secure political stability with the aim of long-term prosperity for the region, the press release notes.
