Prime Minister Oreskovic extends condolences to Turkish PM over Ankara terrorist attack

Croatian Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic on Thursday sent a letter to his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu, offering his condolences following a terrorist attack in Ankara which claimed the lives of 28 people.

"I received the news about the terrorist attack in Ankara with great sadness. There is no justification for this insane act of violence and the Croatian government condemns it in the strongest terms," read the letter.

At least 28 people were killed and 61 injured in a rush-hour car bombing on Wednesday evening targeting military personnel in the heart of the Turkish capital. Authorities in Ankara said the explosion was aimed at a convoy of military vehicles as it passed through the administrative centre of the Turkish state, close to parliament, government buildings and Turkey’s military headquarters.
