Prime Minister receives US Congressmen

ZAGREB, Sept 3 (Hina) - Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Friday received a delegation of the US Congress led by Bill Delahunt, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs' Subcommittee on Europe.

Kosor thanked the delegation for the US support for Croatia's key foreign policy goals, highlighting the accession to NATO and the entry talks with the European Union.

The US can count on Croatia as an honest and reliable partner in the stabilisation of the region and the Euro-Atlantic integration of all Southeast European countries, she said.

Speaking of the stability of the neighbouring region, Kosor said Croatia strongly supported the Euro-Atlantic prospects of Southeast Europe, underlining support to neighbours on their road to the EU and NATO.

Kosor said Croatia strongly advocated a single Bosnia-Herzegovina with the three constituent peoples and equal rights for all citizens. She welcomed the invitation to Bosnia to join NATO's Membership Action Plan.

Delahunt congratulated Kosor on her leadership and praised what she was doing in the stabilisation of Southeast Europe and in the fight against corruption and organised crime.

He said Croatia was a reliable US partner and thanked it for the participation of Croatian troops in 14 peace missions, including in Afghanistan.
