Qatar interested in having share in LNG terminal, shipbuilding and tourism

ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Thursday held talks with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, who is on an official visit to Croatia.

Prime Minister Sanader and his guest confirmed their wish for a closer cooperation between the two countries, notably in the power, shipbuilding and tourism sectors.

They discussed projects of mutual importance and agreed that more detailed talks should continue at the level of relevant ministries.

PM Sanader and Sheikh al-Thani also discussed global economic developments and measures aimed at boosting investment and economic growth.

Qatar is very much interested in the construction of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Croatia and in cooperation in shipbuilding because it needs ships for the transport of gas and oil products.
