UNDP Permanent Representative to Croatia on inaugural visit to PM Kosor

ZAGREB, Aug 23 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Monday received the new the Permanent Representative of the UN Development Program (UNDP) to Croatia, Louise Vinton, who handed her credentials to the Croatian PM, the government's public relations office said in a press release.

Congratulating Vinton on the new appointment, the Croatian premier expressed confidence that Croatian institutions and the UNDP Office would continue developing their successful cooperation.

Vinton presented some of the UNDP programmes, including the struggle against violence, gender equality, environmental protection and energy saving programmes etc.

Kosor said that Croatia highly appreciated the UNDP's contribution to many acitivites in Croatia for the last 14 years.
