We are sending a message of encouragement to Moldova for further reforms on its way to the European Union

Upon his arrival in Chisinau, where he is attending the second summit of the European political community, Prime Minister Plenković said that by choosing Moldova as the host country for that meeting, the first country outside the European Union, a message of encouragement for further reforms on the way to the European Union was sent to that country. As for the topics of the meeting, he said that the issues of security, energy and interconnection will be discussed, that is, all the topics that came to the fore after the Russian aggression against Ukraine.

Prime Minister Andrej Plenković arrived in Chisinau this morning, where he is participating at the summit of the European Political Community.
 
The objectives of the Community are to encourage political dialogue and cooperation in order to solve issues of common interest and to strengthen the security, stability and well-being of the European continent.
 
Prime Minister Plenković considered it a symbolic message that Moldova, which received candidate status a year ago, is the first country outside the European Union to host this platform.
 
After the meeting, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković reported in a statement to the media that the discussions were entirely focused on the key issues of the security of the European continent in the context of Russian aggression against Ukraine, as well as energy cooperation and better connectivity of the countries of the European continent.
 
He also reported that he was talking about Croatian efforts to achieve the diversification of energy supply through the LNG Terminal on the island of Krk.
 
Further investments in other infrastructure, digital transformation and security issues were also discussed, and the President of Ukraine Zelensky was also present at the summit.
 
"There is still very firm, strong and unique support from all actors for Ukraine, in its efforts to defend itself and realize its territorial integrity," said Plenković.
