Plenković: Croatia has reached the A credit rating level according to all three world agencies

"Thanks to the implemented reforms and timely measures we have taken in all crises, we have managed to bring Croatia into the circle of around 40 countries in the world that belong to the A credit rating category according to all three global rating agencies. This is a historic step forward for our country and the achievement of one of the strategic goals of the Government. In addition to changing Croatia's position on the global map for investors for the better, this achievement is, above all, important in the long term for a better quality of life for our citizens and better business operations for our business people. The A-level credit rating is confirmation of the strength that Croatia has today, the resilience of our economy and the orderliness of public finances. With a strong state, which achieves above-average credit quality and has a stable Government, citizens can be sure that they will continue to be protected in the event of crisis circumstances and that we will continue to create the preconditions for further growth in salaries, pensions and social benefits, as well as numerous investments in all parts of Croatia," said Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
 
It is important to point out that Croatia is the only country in the world that has had its credit rating increased by four notches in one agency (Moody's) and by three notches in two agencies (S&P, Fitch) since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in February 2020.
