Prime Minister receives Austrian finance minister

ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Friday met Austrian Deputy Chancellor and Finance Minister Josef Proell and they confirmed that Croatia-Austria relations were excellent and friendly.

Kosor thanked the Austrian people for their support to Croatia on its road to the European Union.

Proell commended Kosor's efforts in the struggle against corruption as well as the government's economic recovery programme, saying it should be a model to other European countries.

He expressed further support to Croatia on its European path, saying Croatia's accession to the EU would be a positive signal for all the countries in the region.
