Croatia has 14 new COVID-19 patients
Fourteen new cases of the COVID-19 disease have been confirmed in Croatia in the last 24 hours, and one more person has died, the national civil protection authority managing the coronavirus crisis said on Sunday.
"In the last 24 hours 14 new patients have been diagnosed, which puts the total number of infections at 2,030," Health Minister Vili Beros said at a news conference.
He said that one patient, a resident of a Split nursing home where the disease recently broke out, died on Saturday, and that the total number of fatalities now stands at 55.
Twenty-three people are on ventilators, two more than on Saturday, and the number of recoveries stands at 1,103 - 69 more than on Saturday.
The average age of the patients is 51.26 years and the share of women is 53.7%.
A total of 31,622 samples have been tested, including 709 in the last 24 hours. The percentage of cases positive for the novel coronavirus is 6.42%, Beros said.
