WE MADE IT! #CroatiaEU has gone worldwide trending. 'Way to go, thank you all', is today's message of the Government of the Republic of Croatia on its official Twitter profile, responding to some of the 12.125 posts hashtagged #CroatiaEU which users from Croatia and all over the world tweeted in the last 24 hours. This interaction reached 1.8 million Twitter users, thus sharing the event with the world on this network. Citizens' posts from Facebook, Twitter and Instagram were shown at the central celebration in the Jelačić Square in Zagreb, on over 500 square metres, which is a record for this type of presentation of social networks' material.

Instagram, the popular mobile application for sharing photos, got over 2.180 photos featuring Croatia in the last 24 hours. Users presented to the world their favourite spots, food, songs and people. The Government of the Republic of Croatia, for the very first time, made possible the video transmission of the central celebration over its YouTube channel, using the popular YouTube Live service.

Let us remind that the Online Communication Department of the Government of the Republic of Croatia invited Internet users in the course of the last week, in messages and a video spot, to post and share contents about Croatia by using the #CroatiaEU hashtag. The idea was to tell the world the story about Croatia in a unique way - with their photos, statuses and tweets.
