Kosor PM meets Croatian minority reps in Belgrade
BELGRADE, April 1 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met in Belgrade on Friday with representatives of the Croatian minority in Serbia for talks on the difficulties they face every day, of which one of the most important is the right to textbooks in the Croatian language.
Kosor said Croatia had solved that problem for its 22 minorities and that it expected Serbia to do the same for the Croats living on its territory. She said she had discussed this with Serbian PM Mirko Cvetkovic earlier today.Speaking of other difficulties they encounter, the Croat representatives mentioned the official use of Croatian in towns where Croats account for 25 per cent of the population, insufficient representation in local government and employment in public institutions.
Kosor will soon receive them in Zagreb to continue talks.
