After meeting representatives of disgruntled suppliers of the debt-laden Agrokor Group on Monday, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that agreement had been concluded that the suppliers with frozen accounts should be given a priority in payment and Marica Vidakovic, a manager in the confectionery producer Kras, said that suppliers would restart deliveries to that private retail and food concern.

The meeting between Plenkovic and suppliers ensued upon the appointment of consultant Ante Ramljak receiver for Agrokor.

The Zagreb Commercial Court endorsed Ramljak's appointment after he was nominated for this post by the government, and the court also issued a moratorium on the instigation of claims, suits or administrative proceedings against Agrokor Group and its 24 companies.

Plenkovic believes that all this paves the way for the beginning of systematic resolution of this crisis and the first stage in restructuring the ailing food and retail group.

Vidakovic said that suppliers themselves had okayed a proposal that those suppliers with the frozen accounts should be first paid.

After meeting the suppliers, Plenkovic held a meeting with commercial banks on injection of fresh money in the cash-tight Agrokor.

Also, accounts of a majority of companies within Agrokor were unfrozen in the course of Monday morning.
