Prime Minister Kosor meets with Sarajevo archbishop

ZAGREB, Oct 26 (Hina) - Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met with the Archbishop of Sarajevo, Cardinal Vinko Puljic in Zagreb.

The meeting focused on the current situation and the position of the Catholic Church and the Croat people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kosor reiterated her government's full support to Bosnia and Herzegovina as a single country of three constituent people enjoying equal rights. She stressed the importance of implementing constitutional reforms in the neighbouring country and guaranteeing the constitutional equality of the Croat people.

Cardinal Puljic spoke of efforts by the Catholic Church in Bosnia and Herzegovina to preserve the existence of the Croat people in that country.

Kosor said that a Croatian strategy towards Croats outside Croatia was in a final stage of preparation.

In the light of Croatia's forthcoming accession to the European Union, Kosor said that as the 28th member of the EU Croatia would even more strongly support its neighbours, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina, on their path to EU integration.
