Prime Minister Milanovic and Commissioner Corina Cretu visited the site of the future Peljesac bridge

European Commissioner for Regional Policy Corina Cretu with Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic and deputy PM Grcic visited the construction site of the new airport in Dubrovnik, and the location of future Peljesac bridge.

Project of the future linking southern part of the Croatia with the rest of the country is important because of the merger of the country and to solve some other problems, such as the fulfillment of the Schengen and other security issues.

Deputy PM Grcic added that the eventual share of EU funding and the value of the project which includes the construction of the bridge and the surrounding infrastructure will be known upon completion of the entire project documentation, but it is estimated that the project is a valued  280-300 mil. euros. " This is the amount that is mentioned in the Partnership Agreement and the Operational Programme" said Grcic.
