Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic on Monday received Croatian honorary consuls currently in Zagreb during the "Invest HR" conference and on that occasion thanked them for their efforts over the past two years and their contribution to promoting Croatia's economy and development.

"Croatia has changed its development trend and we are grateful for your efforts and contribution in that regard," the prime minister said explaining that for decades Croatia's model had been "inert" and now it was necessary to turn to economic know-how.

Milanovic said that "Croatia's industry can offer a lot to this part of Europe."

The Honorary Consul to Estonia, James B. Oates, spoke on behalf of the consuls and said that there were many projects and opportunities for Croatia in the economic field.

I speak on behalf of us all when I say that it is an honour and pleasure to cooperate with a country that has a positive approach and a positive future, Oates said, adding that there are some problems that exist however the achievements the government has made are indelible.
