Prime Minister Sanader receives Dutch foreign minister

ZAGREB, Oct 7 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Tuesday received Dutch Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen.

Verhagen congratulated Sanader on Croatia's progress in Euro-Atlantic integration, and said that there was no obstacle to the Dutch parliament ratifying the protocol on Croatia's accession to NATO before the 3-4 April 2009 summit, when the alliance will mark its 60th anniversary.

Verhagen said the Netherlands fully supported Croatia's accession to the European Union, adding that it would also be good for stability in Southeast Europe.

Sanader thanked him for the Dutch government's support to Croatia, stressing that bilateral relations were good and friendly. He said he was pleased that he would be the first Croatian PM to officially visit the Netherlands in late November.
