A wastewater treatment plant agreement worth nearly HRK 27 million was signed in Varazdinske Toplice on Thursday, with Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic saying such projects raised the quality of life in northern Croatia.

The wastewater treatment plant is part of the Varazdinske Toplice Agglomeration worth over HRK 74 million.

With such projects, through the synergy between local and state government and European funding, we are raising the quality of life in northern Croatia, Plenkovic said, adding that in this way the government was showing that smaller towns and municipalities were also important.

He said an agreement would be signed later tonight also in nearby Ljubescica to improve the quality of life in the municipality.
