Government okays draft collective agreement for public healthcare workers
The Croatian government endorsed a draft collective agreement for employees in the public healthcare system, with Health Minister Rajko Ostojic claiming that this document is correcting past injustices.
- 28.11.2013.
He said that the proposed collective agreement embraced positive Croatian regulations and European Union practice.
Being on duty counts as part of work hours, and will be paid as overtime only if it falls in extra time in addition to the monthly work hours.
Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic said that the collective agreement eliminated hierarchical pay structures for overtime.
This is the reason why funds to be allocated under the proposed collective agreement will not be higher compared to previous agreements, Minister Ostojic added.
