ZAGREB, Dec 21 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Thursday sent to the Finnish EU Presidency and the EU Council Secretariat General Croatia's negotiating position for the Financial Control chapter.
Croatia is ready to open negotiations on Chapter 32, Financial Control, and does not seek any permanent exemptions or transitional periods for the implementation of the EU acquis communautaire pertaining to this chapter, the government public relations office said in a press release.
The government sent its negotiating position after receiving a letter from the Finnish EU Presidency saying that the view of all EU member states is that Croatia is appropriately prepared for the start of talks on this chapter.
The Croatian negotiating position will be circulated as a document of the Intergovernmental Conference on the Accession of Croatia to the European Union.
The Croatian government has to date adopted eight negotiating positions and sent them to the EU Presidency, the press release said.
